Project- Describe your artwork. What is the Title? What is it? What do you see? Are there objects or symbols? If abstract, what can you compare it to? Concept- Explain the idea. Why does the artwork have meaning to you? Why did you create the artwork? What are you trying to express in your artwork? Skills & Technique – The way you made it. How did you create the artwork? What skills did you need to create the artwork? Risk Taking – What new skills, technique or medium did you experiment with? What are the problems you encountered during the project? How did you overcome those problems? Reflection – What is successful about the project? How could the project be improved? Are you happy with the outcome of the project? Why or why not? | Do Now: Why would knowing how to communicate in writing our ideas, procedures, and experiences provide more opportunities? ASWBAT create an artist statement that describes their artwork, creative process, idea, successes, and failures in writing. Instructions: Use the prompts and example located below the links for your class portfolio page to help write your artist statement. You may also download a MS Word document of the prompts and example. Click on the appropriate link based on which class you belong to. Find the blog post with your name and either type or upload a picture of your artist statements. Before class ends,fill out the self-evaluation sheet for your project. |
